1.Login and password
- Log in with either your email or your mobile number; if you signed up with Google, with Google too
- If your Google account has no mobile number on ShadiMaker, you can add one once in Settings; to change a number already added, open a support ticket
- To change your password, enter your current password and a new one in Settings — at least 8 characters, with letters and numbers
- Forgot your password? Use “Forgot password” on the login page to get a reset link by email
2.Devices and login alerts
When someone logs in from a new device you are told by notification and email. If it wasn't you, choose “Not me — secure my account” in the email: you are logged out everywhere and must set a new password. In the “Devices” part of Settings you can see where you are logged in and log out of each device or all of them.
3.Language
Switch between Bangla and English with the language button in the top menu; when you are logged in your choice is remembered and emails arrive in that language too. The blog, success stories and special search pages are in Bangla only.
4.Matchmaker proposals
Verified matchmakers can send you proposals on behalf of the brides and grooms they manage; these arrive on your “Interests” page marked “managed by a matchmaker”. If you don't want them, turn off Settings → Accept proposals through matchmakers. You can't message a matchmaker-managed profile; once both sides agree, the matchmaker's contact details show on the Interests page. More in the matchmaker guide.
5.Support tickets
If something goes wrong, open “Support tickets” in the menu, choose a topic (account, profile, photo approval, verification, suspicious member, safety, points & boost, donation, technical problem or general question) and write to us. You are told by notification and email when we reply, and you can keep talking in the same ticket. Never put your password or full NID number in a ticket.
6.Closing your account
For a short break, hide your profile; to delete it for good, use “Delete account” in Settings. After a deletion request you can log in and restore your account for a set time (usually 30 days); after that it is deleted permanently. Details on the closing or deleting your account page.
