1.About the service
ShadiMaker is a completely free platform for people and families in Bangladesh to look for a bride or groom for marriage. We provide a way for members to get introduced; the decision to marry, the checks and the arrangements are entirely the responsibility of the members and their families.
ShadiMaker is not a matchmaker, agency or marriage registrar, and does not guarantee the outcome of any relationship.
2.Who can become a member
- You must have reached the legal age for marriage under Bangladeshi law (women 18, men 21)
- There must be no legal impediment to your marrying
- A guardian or family member may open a profile on someone else's behalf, but that person must consent
- One profile per person
3.Account and security
Keeping your mobile number, password and one-time codes secret is your responsibility. You are responsible for all activity from your account. If you notice unauthorised use, tell us immediately.
4.Profile information and accuracy
All information in a profile must be true, current and your own (or given with the consent of the person you are acting for). The verification badge means we have seen a specific document — it is not a guarantee of the person's character or conduct. Families should make their own enquiries before a marriage.
We reserve the right to review any profile, photo or text, to ask for it to be changed, or to reject it.
5.Code of conduct
All members must follow the community guidelines. Fraud, harassment, seeking financial gain, false identities and commercial use are strictly prohibited.
6.A completely free service, and donations
All of ShadiMaker's core features are completely free. Donations are entirely voluntary and give no extra features, priority or points. Donation refunds follow the refund & cancellation policy.
7.Points, referrals and boost
- Points are a reward system for use within ShadiMaker; they have no monetary value
- Points cannot be bought, sold, transferred or converted into money
- We may change point amounts, conditions and boost rules with advance notice
- Points for success stories, reviews and blog posts are given only after admin approval, once per piece; editing it later sends it for review again, but no new points are given
- Points may be cancelled in cases of misuse, multiple accounts or fraudulent referrals
- Unused points expire 12 months after your last activity

8.Sharing profiles
Members may share a profile link to discuss it with their family. A share link shows only general information. Publishing another member's photos or information outside ShadiMaker, by screenshot or any other means, is prohibited.
9.Intellectual property
ShadiMaker's name, logo, design and content are our property. You own the photos and text you provide, but you give us permission to use them to run the service (displaying, reviewing and resizing them). By submitting a success story, review or blog post, you confirm that it is your own work and give permission for it to be published on ShadiMaker once approved. We reserve the right not to publish any piece, to shorten or correct it where needed, and to remove it at any time.
10.Suspending and closing accounts
If you breach these terms or the community guidelines, we may warn you, suspend your account or close it permanently. You can close or delete your own account at any time — see closing and deleting an account.
11.Limitation of liability
ShadiMaker is not responsible for information provided by members, their conduct, or anything that happens outside the platform. We try to keep the service running without interruption, but technical faults or maintenance may cause temporary disruption.
12.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute will first be resolved through discussion where possible; failing that, the competent courts of Bangladesh will have jurisdiction.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when needed. You will be told of important changes by email or notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
