1.Opening an account

ShadiMaker is completely free. To open an account you need an email address and a mobile number.

1
Click the “Create a profile” button

You will find it on the home page or at the top right of the menu.

2
Enter your account details

Full name (as on the birth registration certificate), email, mobile number and password. If you have a referral code, enter that too.

3
Verify with the one-time code

Enter the 6-digit code sent to your email. 100 bonus points are then added to your account (double, 200, if you joined with a referral code).

4
Enter basic information

After verification: whether you are looking for a bride or a groom, who the profile is for (yourself, a son or daughter, a sibling or a relative), date of birth and religion. This step is required.

5
Build your profile step by step

Next comes profile setup — photos, personal details, address, education, occupation, family, lifestyle, preferred life partner, identity verification and privacy, one page at a time. You can skip any step by clicking “Later”.

Only one account can be opened per email and mobile number. For several family members' profiles, use separate emails and numbers.

2.Completing your profile

The more complete your profile, the more often it appears in searches and the more families trust it. The dashboard shows how complete it is as a percentage. After sign-up, profile setup asks for these details step by step; fill in skipped steps later from “Continue profile setup” on the dashboard or from “My profile”. At the last setup step, your profile is sent for review. Basic information, education and occupation, photos, family and preferred life partner — completing each step earns 20 bonus points once.

  • Basic information: age, height, marital status, address
  • Education and certificates (optional)
  • Occupation and workplace
  • Family information
  • Lifestyle and religious practice
  • The kind of life partner you prefer

3.Verification

Your email is verified with a code during sign-up. To get the “Verified” badge, submit a clear photo of your birth registration certificate (with its 17-digit number). Our team usually checks it within 1–2 working days; once approved, you earn 50 bonus points.

No other member ever sees your certificate — only ShadiMaker's verification team does.

4.Search & shortlist

From “Browse profiles”, choose bride or groom, then apply filters such as age, division, district, education, occupation and religious practice. To look at a profile again later, click the bookmark icon to add it to your shortlist — you'll find them all under “Shortlist” in the menu. Only you can see your shortlist; the person you add is not told.

At the top of the search you'll see some profiles with a “⭐ Boosted” badge — they have spent points to appear higher for a while. It says nothing about the profile's quality or verification.

5.Sending and answering interest

1
Read the profile carefully

Compare the family information and expectations.

2
Click the “Send interest” button

Add a short, polite message if you like. Don't include phone numbers or links.

3
Wait for a reply

You'll get a notification when they say yes or no. If there's no reply within 30 days, the interest expires.

4
Answer the interests you receive

From the “Interests” page, accept or politely decline. You don't have to give a reason for declining.

6.Messages & contact

When an interest is accepted, messaging opens between the two of you. A phone number or guardian's number is visible only after a “contact request” is approved.

  • Keep the first conversations short and polite
  • Keep your family informed from the start
  • If anything makes you uncomfortable, report or block straight away

7.The role of family and guardians

A parent or guardian can manage the profile themselves, or join the member as a co-manager. The profile shows a “Managed by parent/guardian” badge, so other families know who they are talking to.

To show a profile to your family, send a link with “Share” on the profile page. The link shows only general information.

8.Points, boost & donations

You earn points for registering, completing profile steps, birth registration verification, referrals, time active on the site, and when a success story, review or blog post you submit from the “My writing” page is approved. Points can be used to boost your profile for 24 hours. Every core feature can be used without points.

If you find ShadiMaker useful, you may donate voluntarily — it is not required, and it gives no extra features.

9.Once the marriage is settled

Alhamdulillah! To stop new interests arriving, hide your profile or close your account. If you like, share your success story with us — it will inspire others. The story needs both profile IDs, one of which must be your own; after review and approval the story is published and you earn points.
